The Virden Community Arts Council was formed in 1981, and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1982. We received our charitbale status in 1989.
In 2000, the CPR Historic Centre opened it's doors to VCAC and other non-profit organzations. VCAC was an instrumental part of this fundraising campaign to 'Save the CP Station'.
In 2015, VCAC changed it's operating name to Arts Mosaic.
The mandate of Arts Mosaic is to be a catalyst for the promotion, education & awareness of creative endeavors in our community. This is done through the management of an art gallery, providing arts education and cultural events, running the Mosaic Market (a gift shop with items from local artists available for purchase), supporting the Costume Closet, and offering scholarships and bursaries to local schools and community fairs.
